Enoch Mukiibi was born in Kampala, Uganda in 1975. He paints with oils, acrylics and watercolors using bare fingers, brushes and palette knives that execute bold thick-layered strokes. His work is easily recognisable for its unique colour brilliance. It has been collected by those with a love for Ugandan art and also appreciated for its humanitarian value.

Enoch was Aidchild's Artist of the Year in 2005 and 2007. He will be exhibiting a range of African inspired paintings at our 'Via Africa' exhibition running 3-22 October 2009.

We thank Enoch for donating the painting 'World on a String'
